4 Weeks of Live Case Consultations for Body Handling, 3 dogs per session

Choice is the modern approach to improve safety and quality of care. Helping dogs become more comfortable with body handling means they are less likely to growl, bite, or fight for their freedom in other ways.

These techniques are used in wildlife rehab centers with big tigers and bears. No matter the breed, your dog can definitely learn to be more comfortable with this empowered approach to body handling. You can use this on your cats, too! Scroll down to learn more about the 3 dogs who Terrie worked with in this 4-session course.

  • Useful for grooming, muzzle training, injections, bathing, flea medicine, harnesses, boots, jackets, backpacks, and more!

About the Dogs

Terrie worked with 3 different dogs for body handling sensitivity.

Betty aka Miss Betty White:

Miss Betty White is two-year old Australian Shepherd rescued from Texas, who currently lives in Maine. She’s partially blind and totally deaf. She’s a spirited young girl who loves to play and snuggle! She struggles with brushing her teeth and brushing around her ears which we plan to work on!

Jet:
Jet is approximately 6 years old. She was adopted when she was about 12 weeks. She sometimes likes to play ball, enjoys sitting in the sun, and really loves freeze dried treats! She is fearful of noises, the phone buzzing, a fly buzzing, something falling, the dishwasher, opening, or a cabinet closing, but she likes to be on up on a bed or couch! She's also nervous about putting on her harness and we plan to help her to feel more comfortable with this.

Loki:
Loki is a mischievous 16-month old Jack Russell Terrier who loves nothing more than hiding socks or trying to get his 16-year old sister to play. He enjoys sniffaries, puzzle games, and training - and is always up for learning a new trick or jumping over his hurdles. He was born in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia but lives in Annapolis, Maryland, now. Loki is a confident pup and we hope to continue to build upon is comfort level with brushing and toothbrushing.
